NATURES

Mo (from nature): Oil on canvas. 195 x 150 cm. 2011.

The evolution of her painting moves from the urban space toward a progressive opening of perception. It begins with architectures that condition movement—structures that restrict drift and organize circulation—and shifts toward an attention to light as a transformative agent. The variation of light, across the day and over time, introduces a dynamic reading of space, where what appears stable is understood as mutable.

This shift leads to the observation of wind and vegetal elements. The focus turns to capturing the specific movement of each form of matter, to how air activates and modulates forms, generating complex relationships between elements. Her gaze reconnects with nature as an interdependent system, where nothing exists in isolation and where matter—across different degrees of density—is in constant transformation.

From here, the practice becomes internalized and increasingly synthesized. Drawing takes on a more structural role; the brushstroke is reduced, as is the use of color, in favor of a more essential construction of space. Light and shadow cease to function as descriptive elements and become integrated into a more abstract logic, where movement, flow, and relation are central.

This process is later reframed through another filter: the gaze mediated by digital screens. At this point, a fusion emerges between direct and mediated perception, opening a new channel through which other possible realities can be observed and constructed.
